In the early morning hours of May 1, 2020, ChiaPet and his colleague, former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, were on a flight from New Delhi to Hyderabad.
It was a trip they’d made several times before.
In 2019, Singh and Chia were on the same flight from the capital to Delhi.
When the flight landed in Hyderabad, Singh was still in Delhi.
As the flight entered its final leg, Singh said goodbye to Chia.
When they landed, Singh’s wife, Nirmala Chahal, and his son, Rohan, had gone to the airport.
A flight attendant came to pick up Rohan.
Rohan had not seen his father since their departure.
When Rohan’s mother called from Delhi, Chahals phone rang.
The mother said that her husband was still on the plane.
“When we went to the hospital, we found his head had been cut,” Rohan told me.
“He was bleeding from the nose.
He died on the way to the morgue.”
“We had seen him in the airport a few days before,” Rohin continued.
“His head was in his lap and he was breathing.
But when we got there, he was not breathing.
He had just passed away.
I could hear his breathing.”
Chia and Singh were both air force personnel.
But while Singh was in the Air Force, Chiang was in politics.
He became the chief minister of China, then the chief secretary to the Prime Minister.
During his tenure, China opened up more markets and economic opportunities to India.
He also took his son Rohan to attend the inauguration of China’s first nuclear power plant.
At the time, Rohi was in high school.
He was only 13 years old.
He never saw his father again.
A month after the plane landed in India, Chihai Chiang, Rochai Chia, and Nirmal Chahali were found dead.
According to Rohan Chahalis sister, who spoke to me on condition of anonymity, Chichai Chihayat was in an auto accident and his head was cut open.
“We saw his body at the hospital,” she said.
“I was with his wife and son when I saw him.”
“His eyes were open.
He looked like he was in shock,” Rochi added.
“The doctor told me that the head was a piece of wood.
It looked like a knife.
The wound was deep.
It hurt him badly.”
When I spoke to Rochie Chihali, who was not part of the family, she told me: “He had a big family.
He loved his family and he died without a family.
I don’t know how it happened.
It’s hard to explain.”
Rohan was 11 years old when his father died.
Rohir, Rokhoor, and Rohan went to his father’s house, where they would play cricket.
He would go out to the backyard, where his father would cook a meal for them.
They also had a cricket team.
Rokrra, Roky, and Kankra also played for the team.
One day, Rooka and Rokru went to a party.
There were a lot of boys at the party, but Rookar was the only one to stay at home.
The next day, the boys went out and they all played cricket.
“It was my first cricket game,” Rookra told me when I asked him why he stayed at home to watch his father.
“My parents would tell me to play cricket because I was the youngest of the boys and they liked it.”
Rokra’s father had a medical degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, and he had trained with the Indian cricket team for years.
“Whenever I would go to the field, my father would tell us to practice.
That was how we knew that we were good players,” Rokratra said.
In 2009, Roporra was in India on a scholarship to study engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
He spent a year at Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in Mumbai, but after graduating, he moved to Hyderabadi.
In May 2020, he graduated from JNU and then moved to New Delhi.
At JNUSU, he began working as a doctor at a private clinic in the city.
On April 23, 2020 he was appointed the president of the JNUC.
In January 2021, he announced his retirement from the JHU.
His son, Srikanth, said he did not know why he did it.
“Dad was very busy, and I don´t think he had time to watch us,” he said.
Srikarath said his father always had a smile on his face.
“At the time of his death
